DripAssist is finding its way into new and exciting spheres of medicine – combat critical care. Shift Labs was delighted to participate in a recent prolonged field care exercise in conjunction with the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences’ Department of Military and Emergency Medicine.

“Gunpowder” is a highly resourced and orchestrated training exercise for nearly 180 third year medical students in the uniformed services. Over the course of the 10 hour training, students carried out a simulated continuum of care for patients from the point of injury through full-scale aeromedical evacuation.

Along the way, the DripAssist Infusion Rate Monitor was employed to accurately monitor gravity infusions of critical medications such vasopressors, antibiotics and pain medications.

Thank you to the Gunpowder Faculty for your inclusion and generous feedback throughout the exercise!
